Multicultural Voices: Literature From The United States

Rita Dove is an amazing poet with a whimiscal sense of humor. When I came across this book, Multicultural Voices, it was her name that drew me to it. I knew whatever was inside was going to be fantastic! I was right on point. The book is filled with close to 500 pages of captivating short stories created by writers of color from all over the world. It includes the works of Langston Huges, Nikki Giovanni, Yoshiko Uchido, Zora Neale Hurston, John Okada, James Baldwin, Wendy Rose, Haki Madhubuti, Wilma Elizabeth McDaniel, Maya Angelou, Lorraine Hansberry, Frank Chin, Naomi Nye, Mark Mathabane and many more. It is an exceptional find for educators or purveyors of literature.
